GLOSSARY

UN-CHICKEN

Soy based protein provider that looks like meat and feels like meat BUT does not contain the cholesterol and toxins! Great on any salad for that extra kick of protein.
 

TEMPEH

A traditional soy product, originally from Indonesia, that is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process which binds soybeans into a cake form. Besides being a good source of B12, one serving of tempeh contains more fiber than most people consume in one day. It's a great choice for people who have difficulty digesting plant-based high-protein foods like beans and legumes or soy foods such as tofu. It's the secret ingredient in our "smokecado"   shhhhh!
 

V-BACON

Tasty and specially texturized soy that will make you forget you're not eating "real" bacon.
 

TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein)

TVP is a complete protein, providing all the amino acids your body cannot make for itself and low enough in fat to be a part of a low-fat vegetarian diet. It is also lower in carbohydrates than other vegetarian protein sources.

TAHINI (Sesame Seed Butter)

An excellent source of copper, manganese, the amino acid methionine and the healthy fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6. Tahini's relatively high levels of calcium and protein make it a useful addition to vegetarian and vegan diets. Compared to peanut butter, tahini has higher levels of fiber and calcium and lower levels of sugar and saturated fats. It makes for an amazing tasting Salad dressing, those of you who have tasted our Quinoa salad can attest to that!
